Social Media Rule #1
February 11, 2009
As companies and organizations are just starting to catch onto the idea of capitalizing on Social Media, behavior practices are starting to emerge-
A common question a business entering social media may be ask themselves:
1.) If I have a company and I want to setup a Twitter account to better market via social media should I set it up for myself, my company or both?
RULE #1
My first instinct is both, use your company account to do posts about what your company is doing, plans to do, or finds out in the world that somehow relates. Use your personal account to form personal relationships with collaborators, employees, and customers. The only time I think a company/person should have just one account is when they NEVER plan to grow larger than the size of 1. It's just like in the real world, which is why groups of people form companies in first place.
